Yet More from the Oregon Garden

Image

It took me a while to find the name of this flower.  A fellow photographer finally helped me.  Penstemon, Red Riding Hood.  I have not seen it often but it apparently belongs to a large genus here in North America and also in East Asia.   A more common name is beardtongue.

Shooting first thing in the morning before the glare of the sun with my 70 – 200mm IS zoom creates this wonderful glowing boceh.
